Burkina Faso Christian Pastoral Mission Foundation

Project

From Faith – We Build Community

Our Mission

Our foundation's goal is to establish and support a new Christian congregation in

Burkina Faso. We want to build a community that is sustainable in spiritual, social, and

economic terms. To achieve this, we are raising financial support for the emerging

congregation – including the creation of community spaces and an ecological farm

that ensures self-sufficiency.

Why Burkina Faso?

Burkina Faso is one of the poorest countries in the world. For decades, the country

has faced political instability and armed conflicts caused by radical Islamist groups.

The civil war, ongoing for more than ten years, has a strong religious character. In

2022 alone, around 10,000 people fell victim to the violence, and nearly 2 million –

mostly Christians – fled to the southern part of the country, where they are still living

in refugee camps.

Personal Story – Pastor Ilboudo's Ministry

The leader of the new congregation will be Pastor Zoewendtale Firmin Ilboudo, who

studied computer science for 2 years at CNED (distance learning, France), then

pursued theology for 6 years in Budapest at Saint Paul Academy.

After working in Hungary, in January 2020 he received the calling to return to his

homeland and devote his life to proclaiming the Gospel. In Ouagadougou, the capital

city, he joined a Christian congregation, where he currently serves as an assistant

pastor. His responsibilities include the spiritual guidance and Christian education of a

youth group of about 200 members – all carried out voluntarily, as unpaid service. He

supports his wife and three children through occasional jobs, mainly French language

lessons and translations.

Why Did We Launch the Project?

Although Pastor Ilboudo's vocation and service are exemplary, the current circumstances do not allow the congregation to support him and his family. Therefore, we decided to establish, through the Foundation, a new independent and sustainable Christian community that will provide both spiritual and financial support for the pastor's ministry.

Project Goal

The creation of a modern church hall with a capacity of 200 people and an associated ecological farm on a 3-hectare site in the town of Sapone, located 45 km from Ouagadougou, the capital.

Project Site

The land designated for the project belongs to Pastor Ilboudo and his family. Our shared goal is to establish a Christian community that can operate in a self-sustaining manner both spiritually and economically. The ecological farm will ensure the livelihood of the congregation and serve as a model for environmentally conscious living.
